Based on our experience with customers that use HostBridge for zIIP, the default LE parameters that control space utilization are often not optimal for running HostBridge.  Therefore, we have provided an LEOPTS directive for HB for zIIP that will allow you to set the LE storage parameters for HostBridge use only (other applications running in the same region will not be affected).

The following LEOPTS directives should be placed in your HBZ@JSE PARMLIB member:

LEOPTS='HEAP(4M,1M,ANY,KEEP,0,0)'
LEOPTS='STACK(256K,64K,ANY,KEEP,32K,16K)'
LEOPTS='BELOWHEAP(4096,4096,FREE)'
LEOPTS='ANYHEAP(8192,4096,ANY,KEEP)'
LEOPTS='ALL31(ON)'

You can also consider using the following directive in the HBR@JSE PARMLIB member to tune the heap management storage utilization:

LEOPTS='ENVAR("_CEE_REALLOC_CONTROL=64,20")'

 The following LEOPTS directives should be placed in your HBZ@BASE PARMLIB member:

LEOPTS='HEAP(2M,1M,ANY,KEEP,0,0)'
LEOPTS='STACK(256K,64K,ANY,KEEP,32K,16K)'
LEOPTS='BELOWHEAP(4096,4096,FREE)'
LEOPTS='ANYHEAP(8192,4096,ANY,KEEP)'
LEOPTS='ALL31(ON)'

A further description of the LEOPTS directive can be found here.
