HostBridge directives are processed by HostBridge using the following ascending priority structure.

  • Directives defined to HBR@INIT in a program
  • Directives defined to HBR@INIT in a DOCTEMPLATE (only if the program HBR@INIT does not exist)
  • Directives defined to HBR@SESS in a program
  • Directives defined to HBR@SESS in a DOCTEMPLATE (only if the program HBR@SESS does not exist)
  • Directives defined to HBR@RQST in a program
  • Directives defined to HBR@RQST in a DOCTEMPLATE (only if the program HBR@RQST does not exist)
  • Directives defined by either HBGC or HBSM
  • Directives in input XML or query string

As an example, any directive defined in HBR@INIT will be overridden by the same directive defined in HBR@SESS, which will in turn be overridden by the same directive defined in HBR@RQST ... and so on.
